 Another quarter has ended, and new knowledge has been gained once again. This quarter's theme was a lot of fun, but it was also a great deal of work, specifically with all the rules and tags to remember. In addition, we continued to publish blogs during the quarter. I have to confess that seeing how long we've been doing this is both entertaining and satisfying. Everything has become much more difficult, especially now that face-to-face classes are no longer available or recommended, despite the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. There may have been some complexities in learning some lessons and in developing our blogs, but those lessons were easily understood thanks to technology, the internet, and a little research. I must admit, I'm still dealing with the issues I had during the previous grading time. Ilocos Sur has a rich heritage and unique culture that are to be preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of these traditions, songs,dances and other Ilocano culture are not familiar to the younger generations already. Children of today are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the television than the traditional ones. There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well.   One of the most popular fiesta here in the northernmost part of Ilocos Region is the Vigan Town Fiesta observed during January 25, in honor of St. Paul the Apostle. Every year, the festival gathers a lot of tourists who come to see the presentations they do for the show. Vigan Town Fiesta is composed of arts and crafts exhibit, carnivals, street dancing performances, and other vivacious performances that celebrate the spirit of Vigan.  The whole celebration is made in honor of St. Paul the Apostle. The saint is considered the patron saint of the town. Following that, there are some establishments made dedicated to him that are found elsewhere in the city.  2020. A year we welcomed wholeheartedly and whom we expect a year of change gave us a lot of challenges and difficulties. Everyone got devastated. Some of us gave up but a lot of us are ceaseless. The past year seemed to ponder around with these horrifying binge like the proliferating of the COVID-19 that made 2020 a darkest year to everyone. Our country is grappling with an invisible, deadly enemy, trying to understand how to live with the threat posed by a virus. Honestly, I'm not that satisfied with myself with the past year. I wasn't able to fullfil a lot of things but I will surely make it to my 2021. Apparently, after days have passed this year, nothing that drastic happened to my life. A new year means another year for me to change and reinvent myself, accomplish my goals for the year, and encourage as many people as I can, even in the smallest possible way. Our last day of the school year, three months and a week after we went virtual, brought a strange sadness. After the whirlwind and stress of the last few months, the end felt like a slow exhale instead of a bang. It felt Its like one of those balloons that float to the ceiling outside your grasp and then slowly deflate on their own. At first, it was incredibly extremely to switch from traditional high school to online learning, but gradually as the months go by I am slowly starting to get used to it. Though I feel like I’m not getting a good amount of social interaction from my peers.  My online learning experience has been different than what I’m used to. I love that I get to work from the comfort of my home. However, I would rather be in a physical classroom doing my school works because it gives me the opportunity to ask questions when needed, and in my own opinion, it is much more effective than online learning.
